Tour of Matabungkay 2012 Finds a Home with Us

The Matabungkay Beach Hotel is proud to have been an official partner of the Tour of Matabungkay (TOM) 2012, providing accommodations for the 467 participating cyclists.

A challenging 3-day bike race, TOM 2012 covered the towns Nasugbu, Lian, Calatagan, Balayan, and Tuy in Batangas. Now on its 9th year, it has become one of the most awaited events in cycling. The race featured 4 race stages participants could choose from: 20km individual time trial; 70km road race; 130 km road race; and 40km team time trial.

Some of the major winners include Mark Julius Burgeos (Mossimo Team) for the 70km road race (Hamilo) and Kenneth Caldona Solis (Mossimo Team A) for the 130km road race (Payapa) for the King of the Mountain title. Queen of the Mountain titles were given to Serene Lee (Confero Mavericks) for the 70km road race (Hamilo) and Carola Von Skwarczinsky (JAC Motors) for the 130km road race (Payapa).
